Create Complex Backgrounds - Science Fiction City

Assignment:

As mentioned in the video here is a Simple Assignment:

Try to apply these ideas either using my shapes and designs from the demo. Or play around and create your own. 

• Think about filling in space with your elements.
• Create a simple area or form you want to 'fill' with your background element.
• And then practice arranging these set pieces in that space. Try to learn how they go together.
• How they create good shapes and patterns.
• How to re-enforce the overall theme and feeling the background needs to have. 

Once you begin to understand how they can be combined, and you get better at drawing them... then progress towards including them in a composition where you focus on:

• Camera angle
• Foreground Midground and Background.
• Hierarchy of Detail... etc etc.
